i’m going to guess no because alpaca hair does not contain lanolin…maybe yes? ok my answer is no it is not wool.

Alpaca hair is in fact wool.
The definition from freedictionary.com: The dense, soft, often curly hair forming the coat of sheep and certain other mammals, such as the goat and alpaca, consisting of cylindrical fibers of keratin covered by minute overlapping scales and much valued as a textile fabric.
Even hair from bunnies is considered wool. : )
